we've been busily working on our house, which means jake sends me too our local ace hardware to get whatever he needs to complete, whatever i want him to complete. we learned that i stink at this. i end up going back about three times before getting the right item. the ace workers totally know be by name and laugh every time i come in. now i just hand my phone to the worker so they can talk to jake directly. yes i am totally that woman. oh well. hopefully i'll get better at this whole home improvement thing.
here we are in front of our new home. we got big plans for the exterior which include new front door color, pots with flowers and one day a fresh new house color (we're thinking dark greyish).
jake's parents came to visit us for the weekend and to see the house. we took them to dinner at our neighborhood golf and country club that jake and i joined a few weeks ago. the golf course runs through the neighborhood and the country club is beautiful.
i bought fabric at ikea and to make these pillows after seeing them on little green notebook's blog. jake's sweet mom taught me how to sew them. she was a great teacher. i was successful and they came out great. i love them.
i know this is blurry. i only posted it as you can kinda see my braces. they're bad. i am sad for myself.
saturday was spent morning shopping in seattle looking for some mid-century, 1960's end tables and credenza. jake's parents were good sports. we rewarded them with tickets to cirque du soleil in the afternoon. jake and i have never seen it and totally enjoyed the amazing acts. it was fantastic.

I am lovin what I see so far! I almost forgot that you had braces. You need to post more pics. I am the same way about the home improvement store. Now Brandon just knows to go himself.

No we don't golf. We got a swim and fitness membership. But we can pretend we golf because now we belong to a country club. Actually I think jake is allowed to golf one a month.

You're right, we were busy, and I'm good for nothing these days. I can't do a ton because it's hard to move and stuff. Anyway, my sister lives in Queen Ann. Seattle is beautiful :)
I am baffled that Jake even thought about trusting you at a hardware store. And the fact that it may be remotely located next to a high end clothing store is terrifying.
