the boss team

my conversation with the little 4 1/2 year old boy i nanny. it's a good one.

Rowan: rachel, if you don't do what i say...i'm going to scream and cry.

Me: i hope you don't do that. that would be really sad if you did. you would probably lose a privilege and that's no fun.

Rowan: (sassy and triumphant) well if you take my privilege away...i'll just take it back.

Me: but you can't take it back. you're not on the boss team. only people on the boss team have the power to give back a privilege.

Rowan: (pouting) fine. but when i am big and old...and on the boss team, i'm taking ALL my privileges back EVER.

Me: sounds good to me.

and that was the end of it. boss team wins again. try it. nothing trumps the boss team.

summer come fast

jake and i spent easter weekend up at the cabin. it was beautiful as always. i can't wait until summer when we will be up there almost every weekend. Jake was researching mt biking places and found galbraith mountain which is about ten minutes from the cabin. it is one of the top 10 places to mt bike in america. we had no idea. so we brought up our bikes and on Saturday explored galbraith mountin. it was incredible.
